Our class met Tuesday and Thursday morning at 8 AM and commenced with an hour of lecture. I really enjoyed the in-depth look into lesson planning and creating classroom culture with a multitude of different teaching strategies and expectations. The lecture portion of 350 was very informative and allowed for comprehension of the material. Thomas's class went right along with my studies and interests. I mainly focused in sculpture and pottery for upper division in college, but have interest and experience in the digital realm. I was a nice level of diversity to study and teach in two different art concentrations. The classes switch every other week from her ceramics and digital photography classes. I was place in Sally Thomas's 7-8 Visual Arts Class at Webber Middle school.

Teacher candidates will be taught how to adapt instruction, create inclusive classroom learning environments, and teach in a culturally responsive manner to reach all students.ģ50 was a great learning experience. This course provides a basic understanding of the nature of middle school learners including students with educational disabilities, those who are gifted and talented, and students from culturally, ethnically, economically, and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Teacher candidates will learn to be responsive to the individual needs of all learners in their classroom. The purpose of this course is to provide integrated theories of learning and teaching through practicum experiences at local middle schools. EDUC 350 goes in depth into classroom culture along with teaching strategies and lesson planning. There is a 4th credit added EDUC 386 which requires out of class work with school functions working with students. The course is based off of half lecture and half in-class working with students. The course is designed to a more in-depth classroom experience for the middle school.
EDUC is phase II of the teacher preparation program at CSU.
